Explore categoryWhat is a technical stock screener?
A technical stock screener filters live NSE stocks by chart-based signals — moving-average crossovers, momentum oscillator extremes, breakout patterns, candlestick formations, support/resistance, volume surges — instead of fundamentals. The goal isn't valuation; it's timing. Technical screeners surface the watch-list that matches the trade you're trying to take today, then you confirm each candidate on its chart before sizing in.
How to pick the right family for your trade
Each indicator family answers a different question. Moving averages tell you what the trend is doing right now. Momentum oscillators tell you whether the move is getting tired. Trend indicators (MACD, ADX, Supertrend) confirm the strength behind a move. Volatility tools (Bollinger Bands, Parabolic SAR) flag expansion or contraction. Volume screens (Chaikin Money Flow, Volume Shocker) verify whether real money is behind the price action. Pivot points and Fibonacci levels mark the price zones where reversals or breakouts tend to happen. Candlestick and OHLC pattern screens capture the bar-by-bar setups traders pre-define entries against.
Most professional setups stack 2–3 of these families. A swing-trader watching for an EMA crossover usually waits for a volume confirmation. An intraday breakout trader pairs the Opening Range Breakout with VWAP and a momentum oscillator. Use the Related Screeners and 'Traders also use' panels on each child page to find these natural combinations.
How to use the StockeZee technical screener
- 1Pick a family from the grid above based on what your trade needs — trend, momentum, breakout, pattern or level.
- 2On the family hub, choose the specific condition (e.g. "Price Cross Above 50 EMA" or "RSI Oversold").
- 3Scan the live results table, ranked by today's NSE data. Use the sibling chips at the top to switch conditions without leaving the family.
- 4Confirm each candidate on its chart and check volume relative to its 20-day average — the screener is a starting watch-list, not a trade trigger.
- 5Use the "Traders also use" affinity block at the bottom of each child page to layer a confirming signal from a different family before entering.
