SWOT Analysis

Strengths

3 points
  • FACT exhibits a remarkably high promoter holding of 90%, signifying strong insider confidence and mitigating risks associated with potential hostile takeovers. This substantial ownership suggests a long-term commitment to the company's growth and stability.
  • Despite recent quarterly profit volatility, FACT demonstrates consistent average sales of approximately ₹1300 crore over the past few quarters. This indicates a resilient core business capable of generating stable revenue streams, even amidst market fluctuations.

Weaknesses

5 points
  • FACT's price-to-earnings ratio (PE) of 726.00 is exceptionally high, suggesting significant overvaluation compared to its earnings. This elevated valuation presents a considerable risk for investors, indicating potential market inefficiency.
  • The company's return on equity (ROE) of 1.61% is quite low, indicating poor returns on shareholder investments. This low ROE raises concerns about the efficiency of capital utilization and the company's ability to generate profits.

Opportunities

2 points
  • The broader Fertilizers industry shows signs of growth, with several peers reporting strong quarterly sales increases. This positive industry trend could provide FACT with opportunities for market expansion and increased demand for its products.
  • Favorable government policies and increasing agricultural demand for fertilizers present a significant opportunity for FACT. These external factors could drive higher sales volumes and improve the company's overall market position.

Threats

4 points
  • FACT's quarterly profit experienced a dramatic -52.60% decline, highlighting significant operational challenges. This sharp drop in profitability raises serious concerns about the company's short-term financial health and future prospects.
  • Intense competition from industry peers with superior financial metrics like higher ROCE and lower P/E ratios poses a significant threat. This competitive pressure could impact FACT's market share and pricing power.
