PPAP Automotive Limited is an Indian company established in 1978 (formerly known as Precision Pipes and Profiles Co. Ltd., changing its name in May 2014) specializing in the manufacturing and sale of automotive components and related products both domestically and internationally. Their core business centers around the creation of automotive sealing systems and a wide array of interior and exterior parts for vehicles.
A significant portion of PPAP's business involves the production of lithium-ion batteries. This segment includes a diverse range of battery products catering to various applications. These applications include energy storage systems, batteries for telecom infrastructure, electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers (E2W/E3W), solar power systems, and golf carts. This diversification within the battery sector demonstrates a strategic focus on emerging technologies and expanding markets.
Beyond batteries, PPAP manufactures a substantial catalog of automotive parts. This includes components such as body side moldings, bumpers, fender linings, battery boxes, front lower grills, mud flaps, wipers, horns, door visors, grills, and various other smaller parts like double-armed hooks and specific components for the Jimny vehicle model. The company also supplies products such as glass compounds under the Glaco brand.
In addition to its core automotive parts manufacturing, PPAP offers a line of car accessories to complement its existing offerings. This includes practical items such as smartphone holders, drink holders, ashtrays, rear trays, and additional Jimny-specific accessories. They also offer perfume dispensers and trash boxes for vehicles. This strategy aims to broaden its customer base by catering to the needs of vehicle owners beyond the provision of replacement and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.
Finally, PPAP's capabilities extend beyond finished goods to include the provision of manufacturing services. These services encompass plastic and rubber extrusion, injection molding, and the creation of various tooling products. This integrated approach allows for greater control over its supply chain and the ability to offer complete solutions to its customers, strengthening its position within the automotive industry.
